Reuse For A Lonely Sofa

I bought this sofa at, yet again, my favorite thrift shop in the whole-wide-world!  I really think that place has everything.  Good stuff too and I'm there way too often.  Sometimes I wonder why people get rid of the stuff they do.  I see 7 for all mankind there all the time.  Never in my size and I'm fiercely mad that the ones I own I had to buy at retail price, but that's the way it is sometimes.  Thrifting is so hit and miss.

Anyway, I'm way off topic....

So this said sofa is from Pottery Barn.  It was uncovered and on sale.  I paid $30.  Now mind you, I had all the sofas I could possibly need in my house already, so this was really unnecessary.  Hubby just shook his head when he saw it in the garage.  I hide a lot of my stuff out there.  He's a pretty busy guy during the week and doesn't get out there until the weekend.  It totally buys me time!!
The cushions were down and I bought it specifically to replace the foam ones on my current sofa.  Pretty genius huh?  After the switcheroo, the body of the sofa stayed in the garage.  We stacked our firewood on it!  When hubby finally threatened to take it to the dump, I ran outside with a pair of scissors (couldn't find my exacto knife on short notice) and began stripping the cotton material off the back of it.  This was perfectly good cotton, folks!!  I'm going to wash it and give it a tea bath.  I totally have some chair cushions to recover!!  Talk about recycling!!
