FRUGAL FRIDAY: Recycled Soap Pump

I walk a fine line between being frugal and being a hoarder.  I think I've mentioned that before.  I just hate seeing things go to waste and I always believe that things can be recreated into other things.  I make frequent trips to this place often to get yummy smelling soaps for my house.  Especially when they have their buy-some-get-some-free sales!  After emptying several bottles of soap, I couldn't bring myself to keep throwing
out the empty bottles.
They have to be useful for something, right!?
I'm sure many of you have thought of this or have already done it yourself, but this was my first light bulb moment!  I rinsed out the bottle and cleaned the pump by turning it upside down in a cup of hot water.  I filled the bottle up with hot water to soften the glue from the label.  This helped peel the label off.  I used Goo-Gone to wipe the excess glue residue off of the bottle.
Refilled it with dish detergent and on the sink counter it went!  A few pumps into the dishwater without having to pick up the bottle!  And, it looks better than a huge bottle of dish detergent (we shop at a warehouse, so I literally mean HUGE).
