It's just about the weekend, folks! I can practicallyy smell the warm, leisure breeze of Saturday right outside my window. No particular plans, just a whole lotta relaxing! I may get around to a few quick and easy projects but really, I need to catch up on a few z's and there's no better time to sleep in than on a nice Saturday morning.
But before Saturday rolls in, we get to enjoy today- FRIDAY!!! And because it's Friday, here are a few FABULOUS FRIDAY FINDS!
A set of porcelain spice bottles.
Some vinyl letters and painted wood tops might just give these a nice new look.
Kitchen storage jars. These too could use a little bit of color...and some cookies! Mmmm!
They aren't only kitchen storage jars, they can go anywhere and hold all kinds of stuff!
Kinda like these...
How about these urns? Lucked up on a pair! I'm all smiles.
These were $5 BUCKS each!!
Roses, for me? Oh, you shouldn't have!
Oh, only $4 BUCKS? Then, I'll gladly accept.
On a different note...here's my latest project.
I love distressing just as much as the next guy, but this is a bit overdoing it in one spot don't you think? No, seriously, this wasn't the look I was going for. I had wanted to transfer an image onto the back of the rocking chair, but it didn't quite work the way I expected it to. Given that it was my first time even trying this transfer technique, I probably should have practiced on a test piece of wood, but in my haste and excitement to see the finished product, I went ahead and practiced right there on this unsuspecting rocking chair.
Did I mention this chair is intended to be a gift to someone special?
I know, I know...measure twice, cut once. Ok, wrong example, but you know what I mean.
Bad, bad decision.
I've spend my evening scraping and sanding away glue gook.
I did redo the seat and seem to have at least done that part right.
Give me a few days and she'll be all better and ready to share her cuteness with the world.

Enjoy being Prissy!

That transfer technique has caused me some serious headaches too! I'm envious of those who seem to get it right so perfectly.
