Another great thrifty find! I'm starting to think that I should probably start all of my posts like this since I seem to find most of the things I do while thrifting.
A big, chunky, solid wood lamp that could have easily worn a bold color or the traditional black paint very well. Unfortunately, I realize that I'm currently up to my ears in lamps. I have more lamps than I have tables to put them on! Another lamp redo just would-not-do! I surely couldn't leave it in the store though. It was only $5 bucks!! (I just love saying "bucks"! It makes the price sound so much more like a deal!)
So apart it came and with a good spray of a yummy chocolatey-brown it looks like this. It's still awaiting a nice rubdown with a dark glaze to deepen the color even more, but in the meantime,
isn't this much better ?
And if I ever get bored of it being a candle holder, I can totally start my own game of life size chess!
Enjoy being Prissy!
