From Lamp to Candle Pillar

I've been looking for something to place at the corner of my fireplace mantel and the corner of my tub.  I like the look of these pillar candle.  Gorgeous curves.  I could imagined these as a DIY project and immediately figured this could be an interesting one.
How about this white-washed and distressed finish?  Short or tall, I can see this adding something perfect to anywhere you put them.

I used a $3.99 brass lamp that I found while thrifting.  I disassembled the lamp, removing the inner rod and the upper portions of the lamp (electrical and sheath). This collapsed the lamp into two parts.

BEFORE
I lightly sanded the metal, spray primed the lamp with Rustoleum 2x coat primer and let dry overnight.

I later spray painted lamp parts in black and let dry overnight before using an epoxy to rejoin the two parts of the lamp.

AFTER

I have a few boxes (yes, a few boxes) of glass vases that I bought from the dollar store a while back.  Don't ask me why.  I must have had a huge project on my mind at the time.  I can't remember what that was, but it must had been something spectacular to warrant several boxes of vases!  I hope I remember someday.  In the meantime, I grabbed one of those vases and attached it with epoxy as well.

Liked it so much, I did a second one.  They keep each other company on my mantel.
