Nursery: Rocking Horse

Please bear with me.  Most of my post have been about projects for my daughter's nursery.  I have thoughts and ideas for other projects, but I've been projecting to complete this nursery by the end of this summer.  Provided that I only have a few months left, I've been concentrating on these particular projects.  So with that said, here goes another nursery project.

How cute is this little guy?  Not in its original state of course, but for a $9 thrifting find, I couldn't pass it up! Solid wood. Leather ears and reign. It sat in my garage forever before I decided to work on it.  I couldn't decide on the best color for it.  I initially wanted to go crazy with bronze paint but decided to keep it simple!I used things I already had....Zinsser Primer, soft pink Oops paint and polyurethane that I added glitter to for a subtle sparkle. Pink fabric and pink fringe I got on clearance for 25 cents a yard. I reused the original nail heads. Pretty plain and simple but sooo cute! How would you have recreated this little beauty?
